Product tech details: The fb (fat bastard) muzzle brake was designed with larger calibers up to and including .338 lapua. The exit diameter is a standard 7mm and must be opened up to at least 0.020" above bullet diameter. It is recommended for barrels with a muzzle od of 0.850" and above. Pound for pound this muzzle brake will not be out performed by anything even remotely close to it's size. Instead of performing like a conventional brake and allowing the gas to go to the area of least resistance this brake performs more like a silencer and forces the gas out. It can be chamfered on the rear but is not designed to be turned down. It has a major od of 1.125". Mfg american precision arms.
